Remediation and demolition of an 11-story inland grain terminal. The project involved the remediation of asbestos, PCB, and contaminated soils from the site. The main terminal building was prepared for explosive demolition and detonated October of 2012. Overall, the project took 9 months to complete with 4000 tonnes of recyclable metal and 120,000 tonnes of recycled concrete aggregate generated. The project was an overall success with the terminal being the second building implosion within city limits in its history.
